Sarah Boyle wins the Trifecta: Strength-Pilates-Health

Sarah is a busy woman. She owns her own interior design business in Carmel which she adores, has two small children and a husband whom she adores more, volunteers at her children’s schools, sits on the board of the PG Co-Op and the School Site Council at Robert Down, and loves to cook and entertain. How does she do it all?

Sarah says what sustains her is getting her workout routine back on track. Previously, as part of a triathlon team and a runner, she lost control of her exercise routine with the birth of her children. Now that she’s a regular at DSTT, she’s found her groove. “I got my body back!” she says.

And that’s where the Trifecta fits in. Sarah has worked hard at increasing her strength and functional fitness with Strength classes, Pilates, and Health Counseling with Kimberly Keefer*, our nutrition guru. These three pillars have helped Sarah lose weight, tone her body, increase her endurance, clear her head, and allow her to focus on the job and family she loves. Sarah’s goal is to attend six classes a week, depending on her work and family requirements.

“I try to remind myself if I don’t give myself attention, I can’t give it fully to anyone else.”

Truth.

Sarah finds the classes challenging, but she appreciates how her coaches modify workouts to fit her needs at the time. She says class times and location are perfect for her schedule. It’s not easy to be a “head boo-boo fixer, tear wiper, sideline cheerer and homework helper” while attending to her full-time job as a designer. DSTT fits her schedule perfectly. She encourages others who might feel intimidated to attend classes to give it a try. She recommends picking a class and attend regularly.” You will feel accountable…in a fun way!”

Fun? Yes. Other than the workouts, this is the reason she loves DSTT. Sarah is highly motivated by the other people in her classes. “I get teary eyed thinking about the people. I love them. I love the fact that if I miss a class, I am truly missed. I am cared about, genuinely. We are connected.”

When asked about her work with Kimberly Keefer as her health coach, Sarah waxes poetic. “She has a smile in her voice, she has a can-do attitude, and her suggestions work…period.”

Since Sarah loves to cook and entertain, she knew she needed a reset. Kimberly encourages her to be mindful of her sleep, to try new recipes, and to stick to her new healthy routine. Working with Kimberly is part of a “failsafe recipe,” she says. “Work out + eat right=feel great, sleep well, look amazing, and live life to its fullest potential.”

Yes, that’s how you win the race. Congratulations, Sarah! Thank you for letting DSTT help you live your best life. You are an inspiration.
